This Coconut Daiquiri is the best cocktail to sip on during a warm summer evening or the poolside afterparty. It is cold, tart and super refreshing. After one sip, it’ll transport you to a beach in Havana! 🥥 🍸 🏖️
This is THE go-to cocktail when introducing friends to our Toasted Coconut Vodka. This Coconut Daiquiri is so perfect in its simplicity and still tastes complex from the toasted notes of the vodka. Bright sour lime pairs with the tropical decadent coconut just like peanut butter and chocolate; it is meant to be! Every time someone tries this cocktail, they are blown away by how great it is.
Based on the classic Daiquiri, we swapped the traditional white rum for our bolder and more flavourful Toasted Coconut Vodka. Originally, the Daiquiri was invented in Cuba around 1902. Although the first Daiquiris used fine white sugar, it is more common nowadays to use simple syrup. Simple syrup is much easier and more consistent when used in cocktails.
The traditional Daiquiri ratios are slightly tweaked in this recipe to cater to our preferences. If the cocktail is too sweet, you can lower the simple syrup by 0.25oz .
2oz – Toasted Coconut Vodka
1oz – Lime Juice
1oz – Simple Syrup
3 Drops – Saline Solution*
1. Add the ingredients to a shaker with ice.
2. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe.
4. Enjoy!
Occasionally, we like adding saline solution to cocktails, especially with bold citrusy cocktails. In this case, the saline solution helps make the lime flavours and the sweet coconut flavours pop, making it a better cocktail! However, if you don’t have a saline solution, you can add a pinch of salt for a similar effect.
Additionally, with only three main ingredients, this cocktail is a great base for experimenting. Try adding bitters or swapping the simple syrup for a flavoured syrup to create a whole new experience! You can also easily increase/decrease the lime juice or Toasted Coconut Vodka to suit your preference.
